Bike vs Bus: What's the fastest way between Dunstable and Luton? 12/03/2024
Grant Palmer Ltd are celebrating over 10 years of traffic free journeys on the Luton and Dunstable busway.
A new promotional film, developed using BSIP funding from Central Bedfordshire Council highlights the speed and convenience of the Luton and Dunstable guided busway.
Steve Parrish former professional motorcycle and truck racer and motorsport television commentator takes on Graham Storey, one of Grant Palmer’s most experienced and professional drivers.
Steve battles the traffic between Dunstable and Luton using his classic 3 wheeler whilst Graham stays in the dry and on the guided busway. To Steve’s disbelief, the bus arrives well before Steve and his passenger Olive, who get stuck in Luton’s notorious traffic delays. Graham has plenty of time for a coffee whilst he waits in the dry.
Journeys on the Luton and Dunstable guided busway take as little as 12 minutes, using the smooth guided track to bypass the worst of the town’s traffic, whilst providing key connections for Luton Football Club, L&D Hospital and the White Lion Retail Park.
Thomas Manship, Commercial Manager for Grant Palmer Ltd adds “We’ve been successfully operating on the guided busway for over 10 years. Our professional drivers, high capacity double deck buses and traffic free journeys between Luton and Dunstable have meant we’re the best way to travel. I’m pleased our team beat Steve to the finish line, demonstrating that our buses are the best way to travel to Luton Station.”
