Improved 25 service from 25th November 2024 19/11/2024
Grant Palmer Ltd, the family-owned bus operator now celebrating 25 years of service, is delighted to announce significant improvements to Bus Service 25 connecting Bedford, Carlton, and Harrold.
From this month, the improved service will operate up to every hour, introducing new journeys, later return trips from Bedford, and a much-anticipated Saturday service just in time for Christmas shopping.
To make public transport even more accessible, single fares will be capped at just £2 until the end of 2024, offering incredible value for passengers. These improvements come as part of Grant Palmer’s commitment to modern, comfortable, and reliable travel, featuring modern, low-floor buses for easy access.
Stevington will no longer be served and all journeys will operate via Pavenham.
Thomas Manship, Commercial Manager for Grant Palmer Ltd, commented:
"It’s great to have buses back on Saturdays in time for the festive season. Since enhancing the route through Clapham and Oakley, we’ve seen tremendous growth in passenger numbers. These improvements build on that success, making it even easier for our customers to connect with Bedford and the surrounding villages.”
Whether you're commuting, heading to school, or planning a day out, Service 25 now offers greater flexibility and convenience. The introduction of a Saturday service is expected to benefit shoppers, families, and leisure travelers alike, while the hourly frequency ensures consistent and dependable connections.
